There's no better way to experience cross-country skiing at Yosemite than setting out on a guided backcountry ski tour. Led by a Yosemite Mountaineering School's expert ski guide, you'll not only glide along some of the most beautiful trails in the park, but you'll also enjoy learning about Yosemite's natural history and wildlife. Tours range in length and distance to accommodate skiers of all levels—and some include overnight stays at our cozy huts.

Among the more popular tours are one- and two-night trips to the Glacier Point Ski Hut—where you’ll enjoy hot chocolate by the woodstove, delicious meals and cozy accommodations with your fellow cross-country skiers.

Glacier Point Backcountry Ski Hut

After 10.5 mile guided ski trip along Yosemite's most gorgeous groomed trail, you'll find yourself at the Glacier Point Ski Hut—a rustic and charming stone and log building. Once inside, you'll be greeted with rustic accommodations that include a dining room with delicious meals, comfortable sofas, a woodstove, restrooms—and a large bunk bed area that sleeps up to 20 skiers.
